Catch and Release
Catch and Release begins with words written into the surface. I build, obscure, sand, scrape, and draw until color, rhythm, and fragments of landscape begin to reveal themselves. The paintings consider what we hold, what changes us, and what can be released. Color is the protagonist, carrying each work from uncertainty toward surprise, connection, and joy.
